Creating My Destiny

It is time for a new beginning. A time of refresh in my life. Time to "clean house" in my soul and wipe away the cobwebs. Time to look forward to the future and all the deliciousness it will bring.  No need to look at the past and no need to look at the present....those are already done.

Connecting again with my mind, body, soul is long overdue. There is a solace, a peace, in finding my authentic self once again and making sure that inner being is taken care of, tended to softly and being represented correctly.  Inner struggles are no longer allowed, they do not serve me well.

As I learn more and more about the law of attraction and creating my own life, it brings me many answers that i have been yearning. I've always been a very visual person and always sensed some responsibility for leading my life the way i wanted...but never knew the connection and HOW to actually do it deliberatley, everday.  But, it's not the creating that is the sweetest part, that is the reward, but the sweetest part is living life in joy. Appreciating all that I have, all that I have created, gratitude for the realtionships in my life and how they help me expand and grow into the person i will become. 

Designing my Townhouse...Again

I'll make a long story short.  Lived with boyfriend for a while. Wasn't happy, moved back to my townhouse.  Just redecorated the place, it's amazing what some new paint and lighting fixtures can do to a place.


I love to decorate. I'm one of those people that can look at a blank canvas (room) and see the vision for the whole place. I don't like everything to match, I like to find things I love and put them all together to make one common theme.  Your home should be personal and I feel it is a personal reflection of you, your values, your passions and what you want to exude to the public.


As you will learn, I love to decorate on a budget as well. I get many inspirations from catalogs/magazines, then I take pieces of what interests me and find my own version/my own twist on that design element.  I also create a lot of the art pieces for my homes myself. Then they are even more personal and illustrate my life as well.


I'm uploading some pix of my townhouse that I just renovated...again, but I love the glamour girl sophistication of it all. Carrie Bradshaw would love the bedroom!  Such a fun place to live and sleep!

Just the Beginning...

Let me start by saying...Thanks for reading. I am new to the blog world but do feel that I have thoughts to share with the world.  The Carrie Bradshaw in me is dying to get out; so I'm unleashing her, she wants to be heard. 

What's to come you might ask? Stories of persnonal experience and life's lessons on some of my favorite topics: Women/Girl's issues with self-esteem, Weight loss surgery and life after, Decorating/Design, Dating and Finding A Man in today's world (good luck on that one, right?) while leaving Mr. Big behind.....

I'm embarking on a fresh start once again in my life. Seems like every few years in my life, there is a chance to renew, refresh, detox and start again.  From career change to leaving a boyfriend, my life recycles itself.  The lessons along the way are not always easy, but I do seem to come closer and closer to my authentic self with each cycle.  The path to our ideal self is not always smooth, but getting closer in alignment with the universe allows those gut feelings to simmer a bit, as we get closer to our natural journey in life.

Writing about my life always seems to help vindicate those pathways and focus energy on what the future holds.
